Good Grades Pay

Get rewarded for the hard work you put in at school! Bring your report card to any First Security Bank branch and get paid for your good grades if you’re a high school or college student.
Eligibility Requirements
Eligible participants must be enrolled in an accredited Montana high school or enrolled in an accredited post-secondary program at a Montana college or university, community college, or vocational school. Students must have a checking account with First Security Bank.
Participation
To participate in the program, students must go into any First Security Bank branch and provide the First Security Bank representative with a printed or online copy of the students’ report card. The report card must include the name and grade level of the student and the name of the school. Students under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Report cards for semester or trimester grading periods must be presented to First Security Bank within 30 days of the end of the most recent grading period.
Effective Dates
The Good Grades Pay program will run throughout the 2026-2027 Montana school year.
Payments
First Security Bank will pay eligible students $3.00 for each A or A- received during the most recent grading period, with a maximum payment of $25.00 per grading period. Post-secondary students will receive $3 for each A or A- per credit hour, with a maximum payment of $25. Payment will be in the form of a deposit in the student’s First Security Bank checking account. Payments will not be made for prior grading periods that were not presented to First Security Bank.
Taxes
Awards may be tax reportable.
*Must be enrolled in Montana high school, state chartered 2- or 4-year college or university, or vocational school. Report cards can be printed, or you can log in and show us a report card on a school application. We don't keep report cards.
