Pay It Forward

Greater Gallatin United Way (GGUW) has been a cornerstone of community support since 1978, serving the counties of Gallatin, Madison, Meagher, and Park. As a convener, direct service provider, and funder, GGUW collaborates with schools, businesses, nonprofits, and local governments to address pressing issues such as mental health, early learning, youth success, and basic needs. The organization operates impactful programs like the kidsLINK Afterschool Program, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, and disaster relief initiatives, all aimed at improving the quality of life for individuals and families in the region.
Guided by a mission to mobilize the caring power of communities, GGUW focuses on creating opportunities for all to thrive. The organization employs a holistic approach centered on four key impact areas: Mental Health & Well-being, Early Learning, Youth Success, and Basic Needs. By leading initiatives, convening diverse partners, and educating the community, GGUW fosters a resilient safety net for working families and empowers individuals to achieve their full potential. Through these efforts, Greater Gallatin United Way continues to build a vibrant and equitable community where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.

We work to empower survivors, elevate their voices, strengthen our community, hold abusers accountable, and stop the cycle of abuse.
HRDC serves and supports over 12,000 individuals yearly, and this number continues to grow rapidly alongside our increasing population and rising cost of living. Our goal is to positively impact our community by helping individuals move from challenge and crisis to a state of thriving. We offer wrap-around services that address essential community needs such as housing, food and nutrition, early childhood programs, and transportation, allowing us to support a wide range of needs across the three counties we serve.
HRDC’s programming includes three food banks, two emergency shelters, our Fork and Spoon pay-what-you-can restaurant, energy assistance and weatherization, zero-fare transportation (Streamline and Gallavan), individual and family case management support, programs for seniors and young adults, early childhood education, housing assistance, financial education, and community development.
Many don’t realize that our customers often don’t fit the stereotype of “people in need”. The reality is anyone can experience hardships or occasionally need support. Every single one of us benefits from a more connected and supported community. At HRDC, we believe every community member deserves access to support and resources to find their path to thriving.
